Rats!

January 6, 2026

Dear Neighbor:

Happy New Year! Here’s hoping that 2026 will bring hope, peace, success, good health,… and sanity in these crazy times!

I’m writing again to tell you that I goofed in my last email.

One of the links I sent for the two January events wasn’t right.

Check out the corrected information below; I hope you’ll consider RSVP’ing for both our Virtual Legislative Town Hall AND our in-person reception and tour in Annapolis.

Want to learn more about your legislators & what we’re doing in Annapolis?

Please stay in touch to learn more about the legislative session– from me and the three Delegates representing District 17 (Julie Palakovich Carr, Joe Vogel, and Ryan Spiegel). I hope you will plan to join us for a virtual Town Hall on Thursday, January 15 at 7:00 p.m. on Zoom.

You can RSVP here: https://bit.ly/D17TownHall2026

And, if you’d like to come join us in Annapolis, we’ll be hosting a reception on Monday, January 26 at 6pm. To reserve a place, please RSVP at https://bit.ly/AnnapRecep

And while you’re reading… today marks five years since the attack on the U.S. Capitol. Hundreds of those who were convicted after a trial were pardoned by Donald Trump on his very first day as President. The scars are still present for our courageous police officers. My friend, Sgt. Aquilino Gonell, is working hard to support his family, despite his physical and emotional wounds from that day. I’ve helped set up a GoFundMe page. Might you consider donating any amount to help this hero?

At noon on January 14, when the Senate reconvenes, I will be unable to accept your campaign donations. The link on my website will be removed for three months and returned after we adjourn in April. I would be grateful for your support now if you’re able!

Thanks so much.
