Vote Vote Vote… and My Endorsement

May 1, 2024

It’s time to VOTE!! Here’s information about the ways you can make your voice heard in Maryland’s Primary elections… and my recommendation for Senate:

Early Voting

Early Voting starts TOMORROW and runs Thursday, May 2 – Thursday, May 9, 7am-8pm. You can vote at any polling location in your county.

Vote by Mail

Request your mail-in ballot online or at your Local Board of Elections.

The last day to request a mail-in ballot is May 7.

Ballots must be postmarked on or before May 14 or

placed in an official drop-off box by 8pm on Election Day.

In-Person Voting

Polls will be open on Tuesday, May 14 from 7am-8pm.

You must go to your assigned voting location.

REGISTRATION:

In order to cast a full ballot in Maryland’s Primary elections, you must be affiliated with a Political Party. (If you are Unaffiliated, you may only vote for School Board.) If you are not yet registered to vote, you may go to a polling location

during Early Voting or on Election Day, register, and vote.

NOTE: This session, I tried (AGAIN!) to allow Unaffiliated voters to register with the Political Party of their choice during Early Voting, but the Senate was unfortunately not ready to move this legislation. You can read my bill and email me if you want to help advocate for this important “Ballot Access” law in the future.

My Choice for U.S. Senate:

Maryland Democrats are fortunate to have two strong candidates to succeed Ben Cardin. I have STRONGLY endorsed Congressman DAVID TRONE.

David’s record of effective leadership and service are exemplary.

And, polls consistently show that he’s the stronger candidate to beat Republican Larry Hogan in November so that Mitch McConnell and his MAGA extremists

don’t control the agenda on Capitol Hill.

I hope you’ll join me in voting for David Trone!

See you at the polls!

Best,

Cheryl
