I often tell constituents that Republican Larry Hogan isn’t nearly as moderate or bipartisan as his PR people would lead you to believe. Sadly, his consultants have spent years, stretching the truth in order to reinforce that inaccurate perception.

It is outrageous and misleading that I was included in Hogan’s most recent campaign ad. Just because I applauded at one part of his annual State of the State address does not imply that I approve of the Republican agenda.

To be clear– I strongly support Angela Alsobrooks to be Maryland’s next U.S. Senator. Her election will ensure that our country continues to move forward.

In contrast, Larry Hogan would provide the radical Right Wing with the 51st seat to reclaim the majority in the U.S. Senate. Regardless of his opinions from the back row, Hogan would put extremist Republicans like Mitch McConnell, Ted Cruz, and Lindsey Graham in charge of the U.S. Senate. They will move us backwards on women’s reproductive health care. They will undo progress we’ve made on addressing the Climate Crisis. They will defer to the NRA to ensure that sensible gun safety legislation has no chance of passage. And drug companies will be allowed to gouge working people in need of affordable insulin and other life-saving medications.

In these next 60 days, I am committed to electing Kamala Harris and Tim Walz, Angela Alsobrooks, and other Democrats.

I am asking that Larry Hogan remove my image from his latest ad and never use it again without my express permission.
